FAQs

Do annual gifts really make a difference?

Yes. Giving annually really does matter. When you make an annual gift to USC Athletics, you join 5,500 alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff who support the Trojan Athletic Fund each year. In 2010-11 those gifts totaled over $19.3 million.

These annual gifts make a huge difference. And, since you can designate your donation for athletic scholarships, Trojan Recruiting, the John McKay Center, the Touchdown Club or a specific sport, you can support what matters most to you.

From 2012 to 2013, the cost to fund a Student-Athlete increased by 20%.  The total cost in 2013-14 is $640,892.

Every gift matters. Make yours today.

What are matching gifts?

Last year, USC Athletics receives millionsfrom corporate matching gift programs. And it didn’t cost our donors one penny.

Many companies sponsor matching gift programs that boost the impact of their employees’ personal contributions without increasing the obligation of the individual donor. Most participating companies will match employee gifts dollar for dollar, and some will even double- or triple-match a gift.

Arranging a match is easy. Depending upon your employer’s policy, matching gifts can typically be arranged in one of the following ways:

  • By obtaining a matching gift form from your company and mailing it along with your gift to the following address:
    Matching Gifts Program
    Trojan Athletic Fund
    University of Southern California
Heritage Hall 203A, 3501 Watt Way
    Los Angeles, CA 90089-0602
  • By providing your company with a receipt or acknowledgment from USC Athletics that proves a gift was made to the Trojan Athletic Fund.
  • By registering your gift online through your company’s website or by phone. For company matching gift processes that do not require you to send us a form, please indicate that you have arranged a match for your gift when you send it to USC Athletics.
